WRCC thanks the Innholders’ Charitable Foundation for Backing our Community Food Fleet
Warwickshire Rural Community Council (WRCC) is delighted to acknowledge the generous donation of £2,000 from the Innholders’ Charitable Foundation in support of our Community Food Fleet (CFF) – Warwickshire’s Meals on Wheels service.
This contribution comes at a pivotal time as we expand our service to reach even more people across the county. CFF was launched in response to the closure of the former Meals on Wheels service and now delivers hot, nutritious meals 365 days a year to older and vulnerable residents—helping them stay healthy, connected, and independent in their own homes.
Chris Cowcher, WRCC Chief Executive, shared his gratitude:
“We are incredibly thankful to the Innholders’ Charitable Foundation for their support. Their donation is backing a really impactful service, which offers more than meals. Whilst we are not a primary or secondary care provider, we are proudly part of a network of organisations and individuals supporting people to live independently across Warwickshire.”
The CFF is about more than just food—it’s about friendship, reassurance, and community connection. Our trained drivers, who are all fully CRB checked, not only deliver meals but also carry out wellbeing checks, offer a friendly face, and connect clients with other local services when needed.
Thanks to this generous support from the Innholders’ Charitable Foundation, WRCC can continue to grow the Community Food Fleet and ensure that no one in Warwickshire is left behind.
