Housing is unaffordable in some places & unsuitable in others.

WRCC plays a part in ensuring that more people have access to the right home, in the right location and at a cost they can afford. This community-led housing secures comfortable dwellings for local people to ensure villages can thrive.

The Rural Housing Enabler is delighted to have been involved with two award winning schemes:

  • Norton Lindsey/Claverdon (twelve properties for rent, comprising 2 and 3 bed houses and 2 bed bungalows, completed in 2011), and
  • Wootton Wawen (seven bungalows and seven houses, with 10 homes for rent and 4 homes for shared ownership, completed in 2018).

Could yours be the next community to benefit from a local connection affordable housing scheme?
