Keep it Local – Locality campaign

Keep it Local – The campaign calling for councils to commission locally. For services that transform lives.

It’s time to turn the tide on large-scale outsourcing. For services that transform lives: Keep it Local.

By unlocking the power of community, local authorities can create more responsive services that reduce long-term costs and invest in the local economy.

The challenges facing local authorities are unprecedented. With budgets shrinking and demand rising, many local authorities have sought savings through big outsourcing contracts but following many incidences of “scale fail” it’s time to think again.

Join the growing Keep it Local movement that’s gathering pace. Up and down the country councils and communities are coming together to transform their places.
More and more local authorities are moving away from bureaucratic commissioning and big outsourcing contracts. Instead they are unlocking the power of community: building strong local partnerships, sharing power and maximising local strengths.

Changing direction is a difficult thing to do, so the Keep it Local Network in partnership with Lloyds Bank Foundation will support this journey and help make change happen.
