Join ACRE for the UK Rural Housing Summit where individuals and communities are coming together to share how we can tackle the rural housing crisis.

The summit is a week long series of online events focused on the different ways rural communities are taking action to provide affordable, high quality, sustainable homes for young and older residents:  https://ruralhousingscotland.org/home/conference/2021-summit-programme

ACRE is hosting two seminars (Monday 22 February, 4pm – How your rural community can provide affordable housing, and Thursday 25 Februrary, 3pm – Providing rural affordable housing through Neighbourhood Plans) that showcase what has been achieved by communities in England. Register your place now to hear from and ask questions of those who made it happen.

We are also arranging 1:1s with Rural Housing Enablers in our network so you can discuss any ideas or questions you have about securing affordable housing in your community.

The Summit, sponsored by Ecology Building Society, is the brainchild of Rural Housing Scotland, which is working in partnership with UN-Habitat and collaborating with Action with Communities in Rural England, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Irish Rural Link and rural housing enablers in Wales to provide a platform to discuss the commonalities and individual approaches when it comes to tackling the housing challenges faced by rural communities.
